Job Description


PURPOSE AND SCOPE:


The Coordinator I, Campus Service Center is responsible for providing guidance to new and current students regarding LSC processes and procedures. Serves as the primary point of contact for Campus Service Centers and provides information and guidance for general questions related to Student Services.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  1. Facilitate daily operations of assigned area; Maintain current knowledge base of assigned area and acts as a point of contact within the department; Appropriately refers students to departments, specialists, and/ or advisors for specialized guidance

  2. Provides coverage, on a rotating basis, to the college's various Campus Service Centers

  3. Provides information and referrals to students who experience enrollment issues including, but not limited to, holds, prerequisite courses, and/or testing requirements

  4. Coordinates various department calendars and schedules. Assists with planning and staff scheduling based on needs of each service center

  5. Assists with website updates as well as develops and distributes information materials to prospective and new students

  6. Assists with hiring and training of part-time and student workers

  7. Ensures coverage for Campus Service Centers during regular business hours as well as evening and weekend hours

  8. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:


The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.



WORK SCHEDULE & CONDITIONS:



  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment

  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position

  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

  • Some evening and weekend work may be required



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Associate degree or higher and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary

Hiring salary range is $38,761-$44,576.


Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
