Summary of Duties:


The Griswold lab (https://labs.wsu.edu/griswold-lab/) is offering an exceptional opportunity for a non-tenure track research assistant professor to work on a project examining the role of retinoic acid on the testis. This project utilizes transgenic mice with cell-type specific gene deletions to gain cell-type specific understanding of these processes. The project involves extensive sequencing and bioinformatic techniques to examine genome regulation at the single cell level. In addition, the strength of the research program in reproductive biology in the Center for Reproductive Biology at WSU is highly supportive of unique approaches and techniques. The ideal candidate will be innovative, collaborative, highly motivated, and able to work independently but also with other investigators of varied training experience. The work is a continuation of a long-term project investigating Sertoli cells in spermatogenesis. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to assume a role in international leadership in this field.




Required Qualifications:




  • PhD in a field related to life sciences and postdoctoral experience in a wet lab environment.






Preferred Qualifications:




  • At least two years of postdoctoral experience in research on development or reproduction is preferred.

Annual Salary:


$60,000 - $80,000



In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

This is a temporary non-tenure track position.



Temporary End Date:


This is a temporary position expected to end on March 31, 2029. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
