The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Comprehensive Oral Health houses several disciplines including, Periodontology, Dental Hygiene, Comprehensive Dentistry, Operative Dentistry/BioMaterials, Prosthodontics, and Endodontics. The Dental Hygiene discipline focuses on the practice of keeping the mouth, teeth, and gums clean and healthy to prevent disease.
The Dental Hygiene Program in the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health, UNC School of Dentistry, is seeking an adjunct faculty member for laboratory and/or clinical teaching. This position is responsible for clinical teaching and will supervise students (DH and DDS) providing patient care to a diverse patient population, participate in calibration with other faculty, and engage in remediation of DH students. The adjunct faculty member must demonstrate and model the expertise expected of a dental hygiene professional and attend training when necessary.
Applicants must have graduated from a CODA-accredited Dental Hygiene program.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of two years of clinical dental hygiene experience, a commitment to providing hands-on patient care, and enjoy interacting with students
