Job Summary/Basic Function: PRIMARY PURPOSE: As a member of the Registrar and Dean of Academic Systems’ team, under the supervision of the Manager of Student and Academic Systems provide technical, information management, and reporting support for a wide range of faculty and staff. Working primarily with student data in Ellucian Banner and the WebFOCUS reporting system, support the implementation and management of technical and reporting solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: In partnership with the Manager of Student and Academic Systems, produce, document, and manage student and academic data reports Conduct complex Banner processing and manage Banner set up with functional staff. Provide technical support for DegreeWorks, Transferology, and Modern Campus (Acalog). Participate in the development of datasets in support of the Wheaton business Intelligence efforts. Support, and in some cases coordinate, the management of department and institutional technical projects. Coordinate with central ITS on system upgrades, review related release notes, and maintain relevant documentation. In addition to Banner, provide support for many other peripheral systems that utilize Banner Student data, most in the form of data transfers. Some of these systems include HandShake, TerraDotta, Accommodate, StarRez, Maxient, DegreeWorks, Modern Campus, Starfish, and SmartEvals. Participate in institutional, interdepartmental, and department events. Serve as a member of college standing committees, such as those related to data standards, and ad hoc committees as needed. Develops and maintains appropriate technical and business process documentation, including creating related training materials. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, or similar field, or equivalent education/training
Five years of related experience
Experience with relational databases
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, student service office
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite
Well-organized, intellectually curious
Ability to work with both technical and non-technical staff
Good attention to detail
Strong commitment to continuous process improvement
Strong communication, analytical, and creative problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Ellucian Banner Student
Experience with WebFOCUS
Knowledge of SQL programming
Experience with catalog management systems, and DegreeWorks, including scribing in DegreeWorks

When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.
The anticipated hiring or recruitment range for this position is low to mid $70,000.
