Job Description:

SUMMARY:

The person in this position will perform railcar inspections, cleaning of boxcars, light railroad boxcar maintenance, switching and other duties associated with maintaining an efficient switching operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Inspect the condition of the railcar while keeping it stationary.

· Clean and inspect railcars making minor repairs per company standards.

· Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

· Follow all safety rules and regulations

· Welding experience a plus

· Equipment maintenance as needed

· Ability to communicate well with customers, co-workers, and supervisors

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:

· 1-year outdoor work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Entry Level position
