BRANCH OPERATIONS MANAGER
Our Casper, WY location has an immediate opening for a Branch Operations Manager. Additionally, we are seeking full time CNC Machinist, Manual Machinist, Cylinder Technicians, Rebuild Technicians and Hydraulic Test Technician.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Direct branch operations ensuring safety, quality, productivity metrics and standards are achieved while preserving our team culture.
* Collaborate with Sales, Production Control and Shop Team Leads to ensure on-time delivery goals are achieved.
* Work with Corporate and branch level ISO and Reliability Teams to ensure we deliver unmatched reliability and customer support.
* Participate in annual and long-term planning activities. I.E., profit planning, goal setting, risk assessment etc.
* Identify trends and assess opportunities to improve processes and procedures using H3 Lean Guiding Principles and methodologies.
* Create and manage branch capital expenditure (CAPEX) budget and approval process.
* Oversee and manage daily operating expenditures.
* Oversee responsibility for facility, security, and maintenance.
* Reasonable availability via cell phone after hours to assist with customer or facility situations as they arise. Company will pay at Tier 1 reimbursement level.
* Schedule and report branch overtime needs based on workload, Production Control input and customer demand.
* Work with Human Resources and Director of Operations to ensure proper staffing levels.
* Review, resolve and address personnel issues using HR guided disciplinary action when required.
* Provide direction, leadership, and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
* Provide operational/technical expertise as necessary to achieve solutions to problems in various shop departments.
* Administer mid-year and year-end evaluations for direct reports. Submit to Director of Operations for pre-approval.
* Responsible for preliminary approval of all wage increases according to company guidelines.
* Participate in monthly Senior Management and Operations meeting.
* Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness to facilitate lean objectives and safety goals.
* Assist Safety Director with accident investigations.
* Assist Safety Director with development and implementation of new safety procedures and policies.
* Review FTTQ rework and test failures upon notification with department leader, leadmen and or test tech. Take necessary actions and enter ISO CPAR when applicable.
* Work with IT department on updating existing reports and the need for new reports.
* Travel to other branch locations and customer sites when necessary.
* Provide operation related and branch performance feedback to President/CEO, Executive VP, DOO as necessary.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
* Performs other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility required of the job.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma or GED. Bachelors or Associates a plus but not required.
* Three years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
* Background in Lean manufacturing, including Kaizen and other Continuous Improvement methods.
* Experience working with or around lifting, rigging, industrial or heavy equipment is preferred.
* Strong management/leadership skills
* Strong mechanical background
* Understanding of manual and CNC machining principles
* Basic understanding of Engineering and Metallurgical principles
* Basic understanding of OSHA regulations
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proper email etiquette
* Basic skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Strong project management skills
* Ability to start and complete a project with minimum supervision.
* Ability to adapt to changing routines.
* Be willing and able to work beyond scheduled hours as the need arises.
* Must demonstrate accuracy in working with detail.
* Must have consideration for all team members.
* Must have the ability to reason with Team Members and diffuse tense situations when necessary.
* Creative approach to solving problems. Outside the box thinking.
