Overview
The Assistant Director of the Oregon Health and Science University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (OHSU UCEDD) is a full-time leadership position for education, training, and operations within the UCEDD. The UCEDD is part of a national network and is located within the OHSU Institute on Development and Disability.
The position consists of three broad functions.
To assist the director and associate director in providing essential management and organization supports.
To provide leadership and support for the implementation and operations of current funded projects and the development of new funding and projects that address federally mandated core functions.
This position will serve as a liaison representing the Center on a local, state and national level, serve on a variety of service committees and participate in planning and advisory groups.
This position provides planning, administrative, program and project coordination to the UCEDD in the delivery of education, training, staff development, and competency assessment. The position utilizes and promotes critical thinking skills in workflow streamlining, priority setting of task completion, and in assuring that there is a consistently high level of efficient, professional customer service provided in all interactions.
This position is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration on Developmental Disabilities and by funding from other federal, state, and private sources.
Responsibilities
A Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience leading projects OR Associates degree and three years of experience leading projects OR An equivalent combination of training and experience. 3 years of experience working in an administrative support role supporting a team of 10 or more people.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities related case management, one year of internship program management, and program coordination for state/federal contracts and grants.
Two years’ experience in an applied setting of services, teaching, grant development or research in the disability field, managing and tracking complex projects and developing related annual/progress reports.
Professional knowledge in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities including health disparities. Knowledge of federally funded program reporting. Developing information and coursework in accessible language and platforms for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in social work with a LEND Fellowship in Health Administration.
