Position Description




Lead IT Architect, Master Data Mgmt. Solutions



The Lead IT Architect for Master Data will establish the architectural vision for SAP Vistex-related solutions and integrations, while also overseeing development and delivery. This role functions as the IT Architect for the technical resources necessary to lead, plan, direct, and control activities to ensure operational excellence of SAP Vistex platforms. The Architect will foster key business relationships within the organization and contribute to shaping the long-term vision for McKesson's ERP landscape.


This position is reported to the Sr Manager, MDM Solutions.


Las Colinas is preferred. Will consider other MT or Business Unit Hubs for internal candidates.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Improve internal McKesson Technology processes to efficiently create user capabilities and systems that address finance and accounting business needs.


  • Collaborate with managers across different areas to develop long-term plans that align with corporate strategy.


  • Ensure the reliability of existing platforms while delivering enhancements to address new business challenges.


  • Designs and help implement solutions for Master Data using the SAP Vistex, MDG platform and related technologies.


  • Create the implementation roadmap for SAP Master Data initiatives.


  • Influences decision-making with finance business partners to improve financial results.


  • Develop business cases and models benefits


  • Develop strategic plans to streamline operations, reduce complexity, and promote standardization across MDM critical business functions


  • Identifies areas for continuous improvement of ongoing processes and develops revised toolkits accordingly


  • Establishes and enforces technical standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across the organization.


  • Manages integrations with non-SAP systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and minimizing technical debt.


  • Stays current with industry trends, research, and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to improve SAP solutions and business processes.


  • Develop strategic roadmaps for SAP-related initiatives, considering factors like technological advancements, industry trends, and organizational needs.


  • Demonstrates professional decorum and discretion required with confidential topics


  • Defines and ensures success metrics and sustainability roadmap





Minimum Requirements



  • Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience.





Critical Skills



  • 10+ years' professional experience in SAP


  • Experience in SAP SD/MM/FI


  • 4+ years' experience in a role as an Architect of a large enterprise system.


  • Possess knowledge and understanding of the SAP ecosystem related to Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes


  • Experience as a lead architect in manufacturing environment or a distribution company


  • Led the work involved in evaluating, selecting, designing, and implementing new features and systems for Master data using SAP system.


  • Multiple life cycle implementations or key experience with upgrades of large SAP platforms and identifies and mitigates risks associated with SAP implementations, upgrades, or changes


  • Previous experience delivering high-quality, reliable technology services





Additional Experience



  • Strong technical aptitude and extensive experience with SAP, Vistex system


  • Experience with SAP S4 HANA


  • Ability to rapidly learn and if required evaluate a new tool or technology


  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive change management initiatives.


  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner


  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify problems, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.


  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience


  • Be an innovative thinker


  • Must have a strong customer and quality focus





Education



Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position



$145,700 - $242,900
