Job Description:

Job Summary


The Machine Operator is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within the plant site. This role involves operating overhead cranes and forklifts, receiving and tagging inventory, maintaining production line equipment, and performing related computer functions.


Job Responsibilities   




  • Material Handling: Load and unload materials by operating overhead cranes and forklifts


  • Inventory Management: Receive incoming inventory and properly tag it


  • Production Support: Maintain production line equipment by ensuring it is supplied with raw materials to prevent downtime


  • Computer Functions: Perform tasks in the computer system to tag, ship, and receive materials


  • Additional Duties: Execute other tasks as assigned to support plant operations


Qualifications




  • Education: High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Mathematical Skills: Able to add and subtract two-digit numbers, and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to use units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance


  • Language Skills: Basic proficiency in reading and comprehending simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate with others. Capable of presenting information clearly in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and colleagues


  • Physical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility


  • Reliability: Demonstrated reliable work history


  • Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks
