Position Description:

Motus is looking for a Senior Director of Content and Communications to cultivate the Motus brand internally and externally. This role will maintain and grow our content, social, public relations, and design strategy via both internal teams and external freelancers/agencies. You will also develop our thought leadership voice grow our place as the market leader, driving Motus visibility with both the market at large and our existing customer base.

Reporting to the CMO, this role is a highly cross-functional part of the marketing leadership team. This position will play a key role in a fast-paced distributed marketing organization that likes think big. Our ideal candidate is a go-getter with high expectations of themselves and others who is passionate about how thought leadership and content can propel both brand awareness and demand generation.

Position Duties:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a skilled team of marketers.
  • End-to-end ownership of our public relations strategy, including defining key thought leadership themes
  • Develop content themes and press release cadence to ensure were consistently reaching the market with news and updates
  • Lead content strategy to ensure our brand voice and key messages are effectively and appropriately translated for different marketing channels
  • Refine and lead social media strategy for key social properties, including LinkedIn, Twitter, and others
  • Leverage and champion SEO best practices to ensure our content gets maximum visibility
  • As the owner of our brand voice, youll serve as primary editor for all content
  • Lead an efficient and innovative visual design team that marries form and function to maintain and evolve the Motus brand
  • Drive awards submissions for both product and company awards
  • Partner with People Ops on Employer Branding and internal communication efforts
  • Manage budget for marketing communications team, including use of freelancers or agencies

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience in enterprise software or SaaS
  • Proven experience leading external PR agencies and content freelancers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: the ability to speak knowledgeably, clearly, and persuasively to a diverse range of audiences
  • Data-driven, analytical, and fact-based approach to making business recommendations and decisions
  • Consistent track record of leading groups and pulling individuals together for common goals
  • Comfortable leading through periods of transformation with a high level of ambiguity and change
  • Great teammate with a positive demeanor; self-motivated and collaborative

Where required by law, Motus provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The pay range for this role is $160,000 - $185,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidates relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
