ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Treasury Analyst will be a key member of Greif Corporate Treasury reporting to the Director, Global Treasury Operations. This role will be responsible for efficiently optimizing liquidity levels and treasury operations in an international multi-entity environment. This includes supporting implementation of global liquidity solutions, tools, and systems, including the development and deployment of third-party treasury systems to provide relevant information to the Treasurer and CFO. Further responsibilities include managing daily liquidity, management reporting, compliance with internal controls, cash forecasting, debt management, and ad hoc projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of the bank accounts and bank platforms, which includes having a deep understanding of bank systems and processes in order to act as a bank system administrator
Direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of the North American cash management processes, including interfacing with the Shared Service Center and local finance teams to solve banking problems
Support the Treasurer in providing cost effective financing arrangements for the company, both in the US and foreign subsidiaries, through a mix of local facilities, capital projects, and cash management
Support Treasurer in managing relationships with Greif’s banks
Manage monthly reporting and rollovers for borrowing programs in Greif’s Treasury Management System
Interact and coordinate with finance leaders to optimize liquidity
Bank fee analysis
Evaluate bank capabilities
Support internal and external audits for Treasury operations
Liaise with banks to learn about and recommend new products
Ensure international compliance with Treasury policies and procedures
Develop strong working relationships with corporate functions, finance leaders, and the Tax Department to bring value to special projects as assigned
Support treasury integration of acquisitions
Performs other ad hoc analysis and duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative field from an accredited university; CTP or CFA designation highly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, shared services, or other business role.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, the elements of a high-controls environment
Working knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Customer service-oriented attitude
Exceptionally organized and detail oriented with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for creative and innovative solutions
Highly effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Knowledge of bank platforms and processes preferred
Proficient in English is a must
Spanish speaking skills preferred
