The Senior Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will spend the majority of their time overseeing their area of responsibility, managing performance, developing talent, engagement and inclusion, communicating business and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of direct reports.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Supervise skilled traders, general maintenance employees or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment.

  • Set priorities, perform forecasting and allocate the resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

  • May be responsible for building, maintenance, and repair budget for some or all of the facility, depending on scope and span of control.

  • May be responsible for maintenance of high voltage systems, utility infrastructures, steam generators, and piping systems.

  • Provide support to production services by ensuring that maintaining equipment, power, and light services for all facilities.

  • Oversee the maintenance of production and Facilities equipment.

  • Maintain production equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime.

  • Oversee technicians that repair and maintain the production and test equipment.

  • Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures.

  • Manage training programs to ensure proper operation, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures.

  • Maintain inventory and/or spare parts.

  • Schedule manufacturing activities.

  • Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance maintenance and facilities protocols and equipment reliability in alignment with new MPS requirement as part of Maintenance Excellence Programs.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years of Facilities operations experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to Have


  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience managing building mechanical systems repair and installation techs (HVAC/Electrical)

  • Experience with design requirements generation for HVAC and ductwork systems

  • Budget ownership and management for facilities functions including salary and discretionary spend

  • Demonstrated use of maintenance planning software (CMMS) such as "Maximo"/Mainsaver to optimize planning/scheduling and utilization of personnel and equipment

  • Facilities leadership experience covering medical devices industries building.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive improved asset reliability and management through application of maintenance excellence principals

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$83,200.00 - $124,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
