Job Description:


We are seeking a Controls Engineer to design, build, and install equipment for our global plants. Our portfolio includes ASRS systems, automated conveyors, pallet elevators, stackers/destackers, pallet turntables, automatic labelers, shipping trailers, and build line integration.


Responsibilities:


  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and protocols (e.g., safety harnesses, fork trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, LOTO).

  • Foster mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

  • Communicate effectively across cross-functional groups.

  • Manage projects from technical specification to startup support.

  • Design and develop electrical control systems, equipment, and programming using company standards and innovative ideas.

  • Write, implement, and debug PLC software.

  • Provide support for existing automated equipment globally.

  • Develop predictive maintenance indicators to increase reliability and reduce downtime (CBM, Industry 4.0).

  • Create contingency and disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering.

  • Minimum of three years' experience in a controls engineering role at an automation/machine build shop.

  • Self-starter, team player, with a positive attitude.

  • Creative thinker, results-oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy.

  • Expertise in RSLogix5000, Studio5000, and FactoryTalk View Studio.

  • Knowledge of I/O link, AB components, drive control, and Keyence cameras.

  • Ability to read and create electrical drawings in AutoCAD.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

  • Understanding and communication of applicable safety standards: general industry, machine guarding, robot safety, automated vehicles, conveyor safety.

  • Willingness to work long hours during installations, if required.
