Job Description:

Summary
Responsible for performing the daily monitoring duties of the Banks Compliance Management system, covering all Bank products and services in accordance with Banking laws, regulations, and the Banks policies. This role participates in related compliance committees to support the dissemination of compliance information across leadership and designated Bank team members.

Essential Functions

Serves as subject matter expert, providing ongoing compliance support for all Bank team members, pulling from a variety of regulatory resources for research purposes Performs regular monitoring of compliance tasks across the Bank, including fair lending and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), documenting performance results, and providing timely and relevant feedback to Director of Compliance Consults on various Bank improvement projects to ensure the consideration and ongoing effectiveness of the Compliance Management System Recommends external compliance trainings or prepares and presents compliance training for all staff and Directors covering new, changing, and annually required compliance topics Prepares for compliance audits and examinations, gathering documentation from Bank staff as necessary acting as point of contact for the independent compliance auditor or examiners, as needed, in the absence of the Director of Compliance Reviews Bank marketing related materials for compliance with advertising compliance and federal laws and regulations Completes all required annual training and seeks opportunity for continuous professional development Assist the federal government in its anti-money laundering efforts by complying fully with the Bank Secrecy Act and its regulations by: Filing all appropriate reports, including Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports, in a timely mannerSupports an effective BSA compliance program and Know Your Customer policyOverseeing Suspicious Activity monitoring through NuMonitor softwareComplying with the governments 314a/314b reporting requests Assist with maintaining CRA Public file Monitor Bank Asset Size threshold determining if Alliance Bank is considered a small bank or intermediate small bank for examination review purposes Assist in the review of Commercial Appraisals for agricultural loans of $250,000 and greater, using a checklist set by the Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP)Be knowledgeable regarding lending regulations and guidelines Review a sample of ILA and MLA loans for documentation and Fair Lending issues Review a sample of Adverse Action notices for ILA and MLA Review HDMA worksheets for employee loans and loans processed by HMDA reviewer Monitor flood insurance to ensure the bank has adequate coverage Responsible for monitoring OFAC compliance File appropriate reports Report to OFAC all blocked and rejected transactions within 10 business days Respond to Bank staff for real time wire transfers for OFAC related hits; research and determine potential matches Actively use the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to align business goals, drive accountability, and ensure effective communication across teams.
Training
Conduct regulatory training for all departments, as requiredSelect and schedule courses for e-Learning assignments, as requiredSchedule and prepare training for all staff and departments when necessary

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position travels by vehicle in the Alliance Bank footprint and surrounding areas.
This job operates in a clerical office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment. This position requires manual dexterity and the ability to lift, bend, or stand as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Full-time employee must work 35-40 hours per week average to maintain full-time status.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree preferred
5 years related experience preferred
