Overview



i3 is seeking a Naval Aviation Electronics Intermediate Level Technician (ATI) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist a software development team develop virtual training solutions for Aviation Electronics Intermediate Level Technician (ATI) courses. The candidate must be able to translate aviation terminology, procedures, and operations for the Virtual Training Suite (VTS) development team. The candidate would also assist with product progress reporting, scheduling, and customer (stakeholder) interface.

Responsibilities



Candidates should possess excellent communication and analytical skills; knowledge of interactive multimedia instruction is a plus. The candidate will work closely with customers, supervisors, instructional systems designers, software designers, software engineers, and 3D artists to create interactive mobile, web, augmented reality, virtual reality, desktop training systems, serious games, and distributed learning simulations.


The candidate will provide subject matter expertise through design meetings, storyboard creation, and software content validation. Candidate should be able to adapt to changing workloads quickly and collaborate with your team and other business units to provide software solutions, following best practices to ensure a high-quality standard. This fast-paced work environment has plenty of room for creativity, expression, and growth.


Position Location: Orlando, FL; Huntsville, AL; Pensacola, FL; This position may be open to hybrid work.


CONUS Travel required: Less than 25%

Qualifications



Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree plus at least eight years of applicable experience - or - an associate degree plus at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in the following NEC (I13A, I17A, I25A, I26A, I33A, I34A, I35A). Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Experience serving as an ATI Instructor within the fleet.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain SECRET security clearance.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite

Preferred Experience:

  • Military experience as an instructor.
  • Familiarity with NETC.
  • Familiarity with software development, 3D creation, and gaming is a plus.
