About the role
Forterra is seeking a Platform Integration Software Lead responsible for driving the cross-functional team efforts across the entire product implementation lifecycle. This role demands a high level of expertise working with various technical teams involved in getting a product developed and released to production, with a particular emphasis on multi-disciplinary engineering due to the technical nature of the platforms involved. Professional experience with autonomous vehicle, automotive, or aerospace industries is essential.
What you"ll do
Manage the integration of the AutoDrive and peripheral products onto a variety of vehicle base platforms.
Strong coordination with contractors, OEM partners, testing groups, customer.
Strong collaboration with the AutoDrive hardware, software, and test teams.
Optimize teams execution to the level of maturity required at each stage in the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
Experience in the autonomous vehicle industry, automotive or aerospace industries
Must have a strong background in hardware and software together
Experienced working with real time computing applications
Experience working with cross-functional groups (supply chain, production, field operations/support, hardware/software/mechanical/electrical/integration/test/safety engineers) throughout the entire product implementation life cycle to ensure that final products meet the requirements/objectives, and the product can be effectively released to production and field support.
Experience with safety-critical systems (e.g., MIL-STD-882, ISO-26262, DO-178).
Education & Experience
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in the field of Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or another related field.
3+ years of leadership experience.
8+ years of software experience.
The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra's overall compensation package.
