General Summary
This position is responsible for operation and deployment of geophysical logging equipment, equipment selection and deployment, and data review/processing/presentation for a wide variety of external and internal clients in relation to Water Resources development.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Extensive field operation and deployment of geophysical logging equipment
Determination of instrument selection and deployment based on client needs
Perform downhole geophysical logging services
Record and document field observations
Data review
Data processing and client presentation
Education
Degree with a geological emphasis is preferred
Radiation Certification preferred
CDL-B preferred
Work Experience
1-3 years of experience in downhole geophysical logging is highly preferred, but not required.
Experience running warrior system, Caliper survey, video logging, background logging, flow logging, static and dynamic conditions logging preferred
LogPlot, Block Modeling, and Illustrator or other graphics software non mandatory, but highly preferred
Experience working on surface and underground in mining environments and/or construction environments is preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Ability to work unsupervised for long periods at a time, to ensure a successful project with limited management oversight.
Experience in communicating complex problems and exhaustive findings to clients
Must be self-sufficient, self-motivated, and perform ethically at all times.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Experience with Radioactive Tracer Survey Logs (RTS Testing) preferred
Illustrator or other graphics software
SURPAC, GEMCOM or other 3D geological modeling software
Block Modeling
LogPlot
ARC View and ARC Pad a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of sample material or core boxes. The employee is required to walk uneven and steep ground to access property for the purpose of field mapping. The employee must be able to work outside all seasons of the year, all day long. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
