Position Summary:



The ideal candidate will have a good work ethic, confirmed IT management experience in supply chain and warehousing, and a technical background in applications.


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Manager to oversee the IT systems and services within our Production Chemicals and Services Business. The Sr. Manager will work with the Business Unit General Manager (GM) and staff to support the existing technology landscape and identify and implement new technological solutions to enhance business operations. The Sr. Manager will be accountable to the GM for ensuring the alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives, maintaining high standards of service delivery, and achieving agreed-upon performance metrics.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Serve as the main IT liaison between our business partners and IT, fostering and sustaining effective and collaborative relationships with key partners across both business and IT domains.



  • Work with the GM and staff to understand their needs and be responsible for the creation and execution of the technology roadmap. This could include the development of service systems, business processes, as well as solution design and implementation. Ensure that IT initiatives are integrated with business strategies and plans.



  • Provide comprehensive support, working in an IT matrix environment, for the current technology landscape, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. Address and resolve any IT-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.



  • Find opportunities for technological advancements that can improve business processes and outcomes. Lead the implementation of new technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.



  • Lead the IT team supporting our PCS business, providing leadership, guidance, and development opportunities. Run IT budgets, resources, and vendors to ensure cost-effective and efficient delivery of services.



  • Develop benchmarks and measurements to gauge the efficiency of the IT environment. Regularly review and report on these metrics to the Business Unit GM and other partners.


Minimum Qualifications (required):



  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and experience.

  • 5+ years IT management experience with an understanding of the project management lifecycle and portfolio prioritization, including the evaluation of project criteria based upon return on investment, strategic alignment, cost savings and suitability.

  • Experience in supporting ERP applications with knowledge of EDI, Supply Chain, Robotic Process Automation and Warehouse Automation solutions.

  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with regular interaction with key business partners and senior leaders in IT and other functions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical collaborators and users, as well as senior leaders.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation.

Other Job Qualifications:


  • Experience with Infor Distribution A+ ERP systems, would be a differentiator.

  • Experience within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry with familiarity in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Computer Systems Validation (CSV).

  • Knowledge of SQL, .NET, RPG, DB2, CLP, AS400 systems, Print Overlay, and RF Technologies.

  • Demonstrated experience in fostering innovation in business processes and delivering technical solutions.

  • Knowledge or experience in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in system optimization and process improvement.

  • Demonstrable ability to develop a team and oversee a matrix team of professionals, adeptly navigating within a large IT organization encompassing numerous technologies and technical disciplines.
