The AV Integration Lead is directly involved in the hands-on deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Dartmouth's AV systems across classrooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces. Strong project management skills, including scheduling, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
A team player who can lead and mentor others while working closely with a collaborative group of professionals.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work on ladders and scaffolding, and comply with all relevant safety standards.
Preferred qualifications:
Certifications in AV technologies (e.g., Crestron, Dante, CTS-D, or CTS-I).
Experience in audio DSP, system configuration programming, and academic environments.

Associates plus 3+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Associate's degree plus 3-5 years of experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV systems, or an equivalent combination of skills, education, and experience.
Proficient in troubleshooting, maintaining, and applying industry standards to commercial AV systems.
Knowledge of control systems like Crestron, AMX, Extron, or similar technologies, as well as AV over IP solutions.
Experience with field cable handling, terminations, and rack building.
Ability to read and interpret AV schematics, blueprints, and renderings.
Knowledge of IT networks and proficiency with computer software.
Project management skills, including experience managing projects, coordinating schedules, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Experience leading teams, mentoring, or managing tasks within a collaborative team environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project satisfaction.
Must be able to perform tasks that involve lifting and handling up to 75 lbs, or the maximum weight reasonably required, including lifting and manipulating heavy objects on ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces, with reasonable accommodations provided.
Familiarity with safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines, and regulatory compliance such as ADA and NEC standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced AV manufacturer and industry certifications (e.g., Crestron, QSC Level II, Dante Level 3, AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I).
Advanced audio DSP knowledge and skills.
Experience with loading and verifying system configuration programs.
Strong computer skills, including drafting software (Bluebeam/AutoCAD).
Experience working in an academic environment.

System Installation, Configuration, and Documentation
Leads the installation of AV systems by both conducting and overseeing tasks such as mounting, hanging, interconnecting, configuring, calibrating, and building racks, as well as pulling and terminating cables.
Ensures proper system function, quality assurance, and that all installations meet Dartmouth and industry standards.
Develops and maintains documentation such as test results, system configurations, and AV network information.
Verifies and marks up documentation from the field to ensure accuracy in system performance records.
Performs pre-installation planning and participates in post-installation recap sessions.
