Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
Job Summary: The Continuing Student Temporary Assistant is for recent UA graduates or students temporarily ineligible for student employment (due to enrolment, etc.) who are continuing the work of their student role at the University for a short-term assignment (less than one year). Performs various duties with some variety and complexity for a college or department in support of a program, project, event or other sponsored activity.
Additional Department Summary: Works with Dr. Hamed Moftakhari on statistical modeling and coastal hazard assessment for a sponsored research project.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Some UA student employment experience performing the same work for the department.
Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in Python and R coding for advanced statistical analysis. Advanced knowledge of Bayesian statistics.
Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Civil, or Coastal engineering. Strong background in statistical modeling and coastal hazards assessment.
