Oversee and review the general ledger regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and procedures.
Prepare and analyze financial and statistical reports as required.
Coordinate and prepare for financial audits conducted by external auditors.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and coordinate the completion of various required reports.
Prepare and/or review required tax returns.
Recommend changes in financial policies and procedures as necessary.
Monitor and enforce internal controls to ensure proper compliance.
Assist with planning and implementing changes in the accounting system.
Manage and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and mentorship.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's degree preferred)
5+ years of exempt-level experience in a manufacturing environment
CPA certification preferred
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Comprehensive knowledge of governmental financial administration, including budgeting, reporting, taxation, and revenue
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
