Location: Lexington, Massachusetts
Under the direction of the Senior Site Manager or members of the Ophthalmology Cabinet, works independently and collaboratively on program development and projects assigned regarding the refractive service. Always maintains strict confidentiality regarding these matters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Manages projects supporting the development and operation of the refractive service.
• Manage assigned projects and work closely with the project sponsor/owner on maintaining timelines, deliverables and goals.
• Maintain all related project materials in a format and place accessible to project members.
• Manage process for periodic review and updating of sharing agreements by Managers, Directors and MEEA Finance team.
• Provide project management support to leaders of Ophthalmology's Clinical Operations Group (COG).
• Provide project management support to members of Ophthalmology Leadership, when requested, for launching new programs or pilot programs.
• Guide project participants to consider all resources needed for project success: space, personnel, equipment, time, etc.
• Collect, vet, update and post any departmental policies under review or in need of review.
• Develop process to maintain an accurate network assignment database.
• Provide management support to a Cabinet member who has a team vacancy in a critical role.
• Obtain and analyze data and metrics monthly.
• Lead service meetings, develop agenda items and take meeting minutes.
• Join Physician Liaisons on offsite meetings (when available) to help promote or troubleshoot issues with other offices.
• Other duties and projects, as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in business or healthcare administration preferred
Master's degree preferred.
2 to 3 years of experience in a hospital setting required, preferably involving administrative project coordination.
Ability to take on new tasks and adapt to different work assignments necessary.
Strong demonstrated organizational skills, with proven experience prioritizing work and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
Deadline and detail-oriented, with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse faculty and staff in a decentralized environment.
Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking and customer service skills.
Flexibility to occasionally work evenings/ weekends remotely or on site when needed.
