RVP National Sales - Advocacy




Location: The ideal candidate will be within a 50-mile commuting distance of an Elevance Health office, preferably in Indianapolis, Atlanta, GA, Mason, OH, Norfolk, VA, or Richmond, VA.



Summary



Responsible for direct sales and retention of the company's premium advocacy models (Total Health Complete/Total Health Total You) as well as leading a client facing team in support of expanding advocacy products and programs to large National Accounts and/other business segments.



Position Responsibilities



  • Directs and coordinates account sales activities related to medical, advocacy models, wellness, and specialty product sales.


  • Supports account finalist opportunities for new sales and account management for both ANA (Anthem National Accounts) and large Local business.


  • Develops strategies and executes sales plans to achieve profitable membership growth and financial goals.


  • Cultivates relationships with decision makers and influencers within prospective customers, existing clients and consultants.


  • Develops strategic messaging and partners with Sales RVPs, Account Executives and Account Managers for new sales and upselling opportunities.


  • Oversees a team that will provide strong subject matter expertise on the company's advocacy products.


  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and best practice sharing.


  • Develops and motivates staff to achieve common goals.


  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.





Position Requirements



Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 10 years of professional/leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.



Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences



  • Extensive knowledge of the market and health insurance sales strongly preferred.
