Job Description:

ECL is searching for a Trainer.

Trainer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :


  • Develop curricula for all job titles with department management and support functions.

  • Develop, administer, organize and conduct training programs and sessions, as applicable to the different departments throughout Central Labs

  • Develops material for training programs, reviews, evaluates and modifies existing and proposed programs; recommends and executes appropriate changes

  • Prepares and administers various site training programs under the direct supervision of manager.

  • Administers and evaluates training program qualification tests.

  • Deliver topic specific training as required.

  • Understand and follow applicable procedures and processes required for work performed under the appropriate regulatory requirements (i.e. GxP, GMP, GLP, GCP, and etc).

  • Ensure staff operates in accordance with global standards and procedures of Eurofins Central Laboratory

  • Plan and track training activities ensuring compliance with SOPs and department requirements training in a timely manner.

  • Ensures created training plans are followed and delivered for relevant roles.

  • Coordinates with manager to ensure software and equipment training are up-to-date.

  • Maintain training records for all employees. Ensure compliant documentation of all training activities.

  • Maintain EtQ (or equivalent training documentation) current. Provide periodic audits of employee training.

  • Write material for training programs, review, evaluate and modify existing and proposed programs; recommend appropriate changes

  • Support and assists other departmental work when necessary to maintain current understanding of needs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate would possess :

  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Leadership skills to effectively direct trainees and other professionals while in a training class environment.

  • Ability to properly evaluate comprehension and application of the subject material.

  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management.

  • Ability to react positively to change and help lead the way forward to include new site and regulatory practices in training to both new and existing employees.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, client service focus and performance orientation.

  • Fluent in English, other languages of operating sites and global clients of advantage

  • Must have the ability to travel to global sites for face to face training and onboarding. Up to 25% travel required.

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

  • BSc degree or higher in a science or technical discipline

  • 5 years' experience in the life science, pharmaceutical or laboratory services industry. Hands-on clinical trials experience preferred.

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
