Position Overview:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, monthly closing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, a deep understanding of GAAP, and advanced Excel skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with NetSuite and a strong understanding of HOA accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger (G/L) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes in a timely manner.
Prepare journal entries and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
Perform account reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Analyze financial data and provide insightful reporting to management.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
Provide support during audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation.
Assist in the integration of new financial systems or processes. Work closely with cross-
functional teams to ensure financial data is accurately reported.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in general ledger accounting and month-end closing.
Proficiency in NetSuite is REQUIRED.
Strong experience with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
Previous experience working in the property management, real estate or property management industry is a plus.
Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams.
