Volt is immediately hiring for a QA Documentation Specialist for a Food Manufacturing Company in Compton Ca
As a QA Documentation Specialist, you will:
Maintain excellent quality and resolve errors on filled out forms generated by production, Quality Assurance and Sanitation Departments.
Review and check completion and correctness of forms.
Identify and resolve problems that may arise with all compliance documents. (FDA, SQF and other regulatory bodies) with the help of QA Management.
Ensure confidentiality in managing documents.
Support completion and filling of documentation, including but not limited to ingredient and finished product specifications, GMO, Allergen, Organic and Kosher
Work closely with Plant Director on Scheduling testing for COA reports.
Maintain and file documents accurately and completely.
Maintain a document key list of all SOP's
Support Quality Assurance and Sales projects as needed.
Support and participate in Third Party audits as needed
SQF Practitioner backup
Assist in review and creating HACCP/ Hazard Analysis plans
Maintain hard copies of reports for FDA or other regulatory agencies
Assist in investigations, and responding to customer complaints by completing CAPAs.
Ensure compliance with all Company rules on Allergen, labels correctness on all production room forms.
Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers and/or government legislations, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found
Compound and generate a weekly report on hold status to QA management.
Responsible for meeting minutes and notes for Management meetings- SQF requirement
Compliance to all employee job safety requirements and regulations as required by company policies, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a Full-Time, Temp-To-Hire Opportunity
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of 2 years working in Food Manufacturing Environments
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science related field or equivalent relevant experience and education
Knowledge of food safety programs and regulations (FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, Allergen Programs).
Understanding of labeling regulations (FDA, COOL, Prop 65, Nutritional Warnings).
Experience with NLEA guidelines and ESHA Genesis for nutritional data.
Excellent English communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Schedule: Monday to Friday1st shift 9:00am-5:30pm
Pay Rate: $24 to $25.00 hour
