The Histology/Immunology Technologist is responsible for performing various technical and related duties in the histology section of the laboratory.
This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
This position reports to the Section Supervisor, Histology and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's degree and HT (ASCP) or equivalent registration required or eligibility for registration. Relevant education transcripts required. For those candidates grandfathered by the ASCP, high school diploma or equivalent required
Demonstrated competency in all special stain and immune/histochemical techniques, including preparation of various reagents and stains utilized required
One (1) to three (3) years of experience preferred
