Job Description:

The Learning Instructional Design and Developer is a member of the Enterprise Learning Design team.

They are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective learning experiences for various audiences within the organization. The role involves providing instructional design support and creating e-learning modules, instructional materials, graphic design support, and other learning resources that support the learning experience strategy goals.

The Learning Instructional Design and Developer will work closely with Enterprise Learning Consultants, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure the content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:


  • Creates interactive and engaging e-learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 Suite of authoring tools (i.e., Storyline, Rise, etc.).

  • Supplements eLearning modules with multimedia assets using tools such as Camtasia, Premiere Pro, Vyond, Photoshop, or similar tools.

  • Creates visually appealing designs in line with brand guidelines for a variety of media formats including online assets, business presentations, and print materials.

  • Develops instructional materials, including course outlines, lesson plans, and assessments.

  • Applies adult learning theories to design and develop practical, application-based learning.

  • Creates content outlines and wireframes to emulate the end-to-end learning experience.

  • Develops visual and interactive components to create a consistent experience across a variety of learning topics.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both visual, oral and written form, including the ability to deliver engaging presentations to all audiences.

  • Ensures all learning materials are accessible (i.e., WCAG 2.1 Level A) and comply with SCORM publishing standards.


Collaboration:

  • Works with subject matter experts, Learning Consultants, or leaders to gather and validate content.

  • Drives thought leadership in instructional design process with the ability to design innovative and creative solutions matched to business and learning needs of the organization.

  • Plays an active role in the Learning Excellence Community (LEC).


Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Partners with Learning Consultants to conduct a needs assessment to identify learning gaps and training needs.

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.

  • Continuously improve learning materials based on learner feedback and technological advancements.


Project Management:

  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality learning materials.

  • Maintains documentation and records related to training programs and development processes.

  • Communicates project status and updates to project team members.

Qualifications


  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field or has equivalent work experience.


  • Experience:At least 5 years of experience in e-learning development and/or instructional design.

  • Technical Skills:


  • Demonstrated knowledge of eLearning authoring tools (Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, and Articulate 360) and SCORM publishing standards.

  • Proficiency with Vyond, Wellsaid, and multi-media editing software, such as Premier Pro, Camtasia, and similar.

  • Proficiency with Photoshop for graphic design support strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of HTML, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platform (LXP), and virtual learning experience (VLE) platforms.


  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
