Our client, a food manufacturer, is seeking a talented Cost Accountant to join their team and provide critical financial analysis and support to their operations. As a key member of their accounting team, you'll play a vital role in driving their company's success by ensuring accurate costing, pricing, and financial reporting.
What you'll do:
Analyze and report on gross margins per product to identify areas for improvement.
Conduct in-depth weekly and monthly sales analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
Maintain and update pricing and cost lists for our products.
Collaborate closely with production teams to understand processes and drive cost efficiency.
Provide essential financial reporting for month-end closes and ad-hoc analysis.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure our financial performance.
Evaluate the financial viability of capital investment projects.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
7+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or beverage.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like Power Query and Power Pivot.
A deep understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
