Job Summary The Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and health of the employees in the workplace. Their duties include:
Train employees on safe work practices
Track training completion
Encourage employees to identify unsafe or at-risk conditions and enforce safe work practices and regulations
Ensure all required reports and records are properly maintained
Lead acute incident investigations and ensure root cause analysis is used
Coordinate and follow up with other departments to ensure that modifications and improvements are tracked, documented, and completed with established time frames

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
Degree in environmental science, health and safety, or another related field
5 years' experience in an industrial setting
3+ years in EHS experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bi-lingual (speaking, reading, and writing). Fluency in Spanish, Karenni, French, & Creole is highly preferred.
CPR and first aid
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations
Able to communicate with all levels of employees, from upper management to hourly employees
Responsible for driving a consistent message throughout the organization
Ability to do the right thing when no one is looking and strength to stand up when situations arise that put people or the environment at risk
Drives continuous improvement, knowing that even small improvements contribute to the success of the organization
Proficient in MS Office
Displays a willingness to learn and ask questions
Work Environment This position operates in the office and in the plant. All aspects of the operation will be part of the EHS supervisor's job function. This will take the employee from the office to all areas of the plant, storage areas, maintenance areas, and exterior of the building.
