Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.
Key responsibilities:
Complete analytical methods (e.g. flow cytometry, potency assays, etc.) to support Analytical Development (AD) studies within the Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) program
Perform data analysis, data verification, and generate reports for experimental studies
Promote cross-functional communication and organization pertaining to workflow logistics and data reporting
Troubleshoot, optimize, and trend assay performance in conjunction with manager
Contribute to the identification, development, and validation of assay controls (e.g. experimental design, execution, data analysis, maintenance of cell lines)
Identify and manage analytical reagents and instrumentation as per regulatory standards
Execute test methods in support of Analytical Development activities
Maintain excellent written documentation (e.g. electronic lab notebook and test forms)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years')
OR Masters degree
In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven experience with flow cytometry or other immunostaining-based methods
Experience with at least one of the following methods: mammalian cell culture, ELISA, qPCR/PCR, or immunoblotting
Experience in writing technical documents, such as SOPs and study reports, in a non-GxP environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build open and collaborative relationships
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
Good written and oral communication skills
Time management and project management skills
Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
