What We're Looking For:
We are looking for an Resident Project Representative responsible for the ensuring construction work performed by contractors aligns to the standards defined by the Transportation Engineer and Project Manager. The individual will spend time on site observing the construction phases of work including quality control, constructability, completeness, and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Providing technical expertise and support on water/ waste water plant construction projects.
Reviewing work of contractors conducting onsite observations of the general progress of the work to assist Engineer in determining if the work is proceeding in accordance with the construction contract documents.
Assisting Engineer in providing interpretation of the construction contract documents. Executing and communicating Engineer's clarifications and interpretations of the construction contract documents to the Contractor.
Assisting Engineer in serving as Owner's liaison with the Contractor when the Contractor's operations affect Owner's onsite operation.
Monitoring changes of apparent integrity of the site, such as differing subsurface and physical conditions, existing structures, and site-related utilities when such utilities are exposed.
Visually inspecting materials, equipment, and supplies delivered to the worksite. Reject materials, equipment, and supplies that do not conform to the construction contract documents.
Coordinating onsite materials testing services during construction.
Submitting weekly construction progress reports containing summary of the Contractor's progress, general condition of the work, problems, and resolutions or proposed resolutions to problems.
Upon substantial completion, inspecting the construction work with other design professionals of the Engineer and preparing a punch list of those items to be completed or corrected before final completion of the project.
Upon completion or correction of the items of work on the punch list, conducting a final inspection to determine if the work is completed.
Providing photo log and log book.
Providing clear communication on project status to Project Managers at Barge and to Client.
Performing other duties as required.

Education & Experience Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years of water/ wastewater plant, pump station, or other relevant experience
Ability to travel as needed
Physical Requirements:
This position works in a construction site area. Individual will need to be able to climb ladders (up to 25 feet), go into manholes, and comfortable working in an environment with various weather conditions and noise levels.
