Description:


The Interdisciplinary Linguistics Program at Tulane University invites applications for a renewable position of Instructor in American Sign Language Studies (ASLS) for the academic year 2024-2025.


The successful candidate will teach 3 courses per semester.


The Interdisciplinary Linguistics Program is a vibrant program composed of faculty from a variety of disciplines across Tulane University and offers a Major as well as a PhD program.




Qualifications:


Applicants should have a doctoral or Master's degree in the field of ASL Studies, ASL Education, ASL Interpretation and Translation, Deaf Culture, Linguistics or a related field and demonstrate native-like proficiency in ASL. Preferred qualifications include teaching experience at the postsecondary level, knowledge of ASTLA standards, experience with interpretation and translation.
