Lab Research Technician

Conduct laboratory experiments involving human and bacterial cultures and provide general laboratory support. Following general guidance of supervisor, plan and conduct day-to-day experiments with increasing independence. Provide general lab support to include maintaining supply inventories and conducting regular laboratory infrastructure assessments.
Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Bioengineering, or related field and one to two years of laboratory experience in course labs. Commitment to diversity and inclusion required.
Experience in a productive research laboratory setting including hands-on training in tissue culture techniques highly desirable. Organizational and record keeping skills.
$20/hour - $23/hour
A probationary period may be required, Contingent on continued funding, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Background Check required for this position
