Description:
Geisel School of Medicine is seeking a Research Scientist/Analyst in the Department of Epidemiology. Working under the supervision of senior faculty, the candidate will undertake statistical analyses including data preparation, processing/modeling according to the nature of the data, preparation of reports of methods used and the results. The tasks will arise from sub-projects linked to the Department's research portfolio, including investigations of environmental effects on maternal and child health. Data types will include those arising from health survey responses, medical notes extraction, biologic samples, devices/measurements, and 'omics. Responsibilities will include writing code and performing analyses as outlined above following an agreed plan, preparing documentation of the analysis process and results and discussing the results with supervisors and with a wider team where appropriate. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, to complete tasks to time and to employ strong attention to detail at all times.
Qualifications:
Masters or PhD with a substantial statistics component. Experience with microbiome analyses will be an advantage.
