This position functions to assist the licensed pharmacist in providing patient care services to patients enrolled in clinical trials. This position provides necessary services and information to research, pharmacy, nursing and medical staff. These services include preparation and packaging of medications; distribution of medications, supplies and equipment; maintaining proper inventory levels; ensuring medications are in date, secure, and stored appropriate. Other services include keeping appropriate records and documentation, and submitting billing charges to the appropriate research finance groups. This position is also responsible for supporting initiatives of area supervisors and managers. This position assists with sponsor site visits and associated documentation.
As Research Pharmacy Technician you will be responsible for:
Minimum Qualifications.
High School graduate or equivalent. Certified Pharmacy Technician. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Pharmacy Research Technicians: Must participate in continuing educational opportunities to meet annual competency requirements, complete research required trainings, and participate in continual training opportunities to develop ongoing skills in other areas of pharmacy practice. Other trainings as designated may be required.
