Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Arlington, VA that is seeking a Director of Tax.

Responsibilities:

• The Director of Tax will develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance


• Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns


• Manage tax audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities


• Provide guidance on tax-related issues to senior management and other departments


• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company


• Lead and mentor the tax team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement


• The Director of Tax will collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting


• Identify and mitigate tax risks through effective planning and analysis

REQUIREMENTS:

• To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed


• Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
