WellPower is a large, well-established, innovative, and vibrant community mental health center that provides outpatient mental health services to individuals recovering from serious and persistent mental illness. WellPower has two retail pharmacies embedded in our clinic sites. The pharmacies are designed to provide medications to persons in services at WellPower, and the community at large. Pharmacy staff support persons served, nursing staff, and medical staff. Primary duties for this position include order entry and dispensing duties, resolution of insurance issues, and communicating effectively with residential staff at assisted living facilities. The current pharmacy staff have been with WellPower anywhere from 9 months to 20 years, with an average of 8 years length of service.

STARTING SALARY:

  • $25.00/hour
  • $2.50/hour Spanish differential after passing a language proficiency exam

HOURS: Monday through Friday, day shift, 40 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist with all phases of pharmacy services while under the supervision of a pharmacist and collaborate as a team with all pharmacy staff.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately count, label and fill bottles with prescribed tablets, capsules, and liquid medications.
  • Enter prescription information into pharmacy computer system.
  • Operate automated dispensing machine, as applicable.
  • Adjudicate prescriptions and be able to appropriately solve adjudication errors.
  • Effectively manage pharmacy inventory including ordering and receiving medications and supplies. Assist in maintaining inventory records.
  • Maintains daily pharmacy records, as required.
  • Answer phone calls, and departmental emails promptly and appropriately.
  • Manage Point of Sale system while providing excellent customer service.
  • Transfer prescriptions in and out of pharmacy.
  • Coordinate vaccine intake and billing.
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
  • Other duties as assigned.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma. Pharmacy Technician Certification and State Board licensure required.
  • 1 year experience in Pharmacy Technician
  • Bilingual English & Spanish proficiency is a plus
