Hays has partnered with a local full service real estate firm headquartered in Bellevue, WA. We're looking for a Property Accounting Manager to oversee their portfolios accounting and financial side of things.
Your new role
Oversee the accounting functions for a mixed portfolio of assets, primarily commercial properties.
Manage and mentor a team of 5 property accountants and 1 AR bookkeeper.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Coordinate with property managers and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns and audits.
What you'll need to succeed
Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Yardi.
