Job Description:

Requirements:


  • Follow production schedule and assist with scheduling UN test drums

  • Read, understand and follow work instructions as well as BOM

  • Use hand tools as required per job

  • Communicate effectively with other colleagues on the production floor and Quality Lead

  • Follow LOTO procedures per HECP

  • Operate a forklift or walk behind as required

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Perform required quality inspections and accept or reject according to the appropriate criteria

  • Complete paperwork to document inspections, measurements and tests.

  • Maintain Griefs Quality and Safety digital systems

  • Adhere to quality standards as detailed in work instructions

  • Handle non-conforming material per SP830 of the Florence ISO Quality System

  • Receive, stock, and receive into SBP materials delivered to facility

  • Review customer specs and make corrections as required

  • Review UN test sample and coordinate with parts department as well as main line for production

  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action

  • Conducts UN Tests according to regulations. Documents results as required per OSW

  • Inspect quality equipment for safety and calibration

  • Ensure Quality and Receiving area is 5’s compliant

Secondary Responsibilities:


  • Follow all Safety Rules

  • Follow all applicable Quality Work Instructions

  • Assist with other production activities as required

  • Complete paperwork as requested

  • General Housekeeping of the facility

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Demonstrates Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Possess strong planning and project management skills

  • Ability to work with testing equipment and maintain accurate documentation

  • Ability to work self-sufficiently to meet deadlines and required timelines

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and or/ SQF standards is a plus

  • Possesses strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Detailed knowledge of environmental health and safety policies and regulations is recommended

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Associate's Degree in related field or equivalent of 2 years experience preferred.
