The Area Marketing Coordinator will assist and support the Area Director of Sales & Marketing and larger team in driving sales & marketing tactics and deliverables, as well as lead various initiatives.
Job Description
Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:
Assist in building content, marketing campaigns and promotions
Create and edit internal flyers/promotions for sales & catering team
Assist operational departments with all visual needs for internal communications
Create sales email campaigns and maintain database management of CRM
Create content, posting schedule, draft posts and monitor two food and beverage social media channels while working with operational team on any necessary responses
Assist in the coordination and execution of local property events
Assist in the coordination of property photo shoots
Manage setting up new vendors and the processing of POs and invoices to manage sales and marketing budget. Make appropriate forecast changes and monitoring of budget as needed in conjunction with sales and marketing leadership. Monthly budget calls with the Directors of Finance.
Work with the internal operations team to develop SOPs and be the on-site go to person for hotel and F&B related coordination/roll out of property marketing initiatives
Proactively audit and make needed edits to third party profiles such as Cvent, WeddingWire, PartySlate, Yelp, etc. to ensure visual representation of hotels is accurate.
Source, order and manage inventory for departmental amenities, collateral and giveaway items, including a twice-yearly sales blitz
Prepare, maintain and keep organized marketing department files, including the Sales Department Training Binder and documents in Box.
Input and track comp rooms and distribute VIP alerts for marketing/PR stays for media, influencers and local partners
Attend departmental meetings to communicate promotions to staff

Qualifications and Skills

Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred 1 year of previous experience in marketing, PR or social media
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva and other Microsoft Office Applications
Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Later Social Media Management Platform and photography a plus
