Job Description:

Overhead Door Company of Atlanta™, a DH Pace Company, Inc. aspires to hire a Department Manager, for our Residential Install Department, in our Peachtree Corners, GA location. This individual will ensure project objectives are safely met by specified date and within budget, scheduling, dispatching, ordering, and managing labor & material costs.



Job Responsibilities:



  • Manage day-to-day operations of the department.

  • Plan, manage and implement schedules to meet daily customer commitments and ensure that the plan is properly executed.

  • Utilize variety of on-line builder software to manage project flow.

  • Review workload and manpower to meet customer commitments in a cost-effective manner.

  • Ensure that projects are completed timely, efficiently, below budget and to the satisfaction of our customers.

  • Validate billing reports against expected costs in real time for accuracy and future execution adjustments.

  • Review monthly financial/operational reports and work with front-line managers to develop action plans to improve.

  • Execute quarterly site visits to inspect safety practices and quality workmanship.

  • Improve individual performance of the field force you manage through daily, monthly and yearly performance reviews.

  • Partner with the sales team to ensure that they are providing good information for the successful completion of projects.

  • Will assist with hiring, training and developing new employees.

  • Other duties as assigned.



Skills and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience required

  • Experience in managing employee performance, hiring, and training

  • Experienced in communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction levels consistently exceed expectations

  • Possess an ability for technical applications and mechanical systems

  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License
