Seeking a Senior Communications Consultant (Spanish Translator / Linguist) to join the In-Language Customer Experience Team within the Chief Operating Office. As part of this team, you'll play a crucial role in translating English content into foreign languages, primarily focusing on Spanish. You'll handle both verbal and written communication, including customer service letters, internal communications, and digital content on apps and websites.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Translation of Material: Translating content from English to Spanish.
Back Translation: Ensuring that the translated content accurately reflects the original message.
In Context Review: Reviewing content in its final layout, such as on webpages before publication.
Language Quality Control (LQC): Proofreading content already translated by another party.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Four Years of Translation Experience: Being bilingual doesn't automatically mean one can translate effectively.
Familiarity with Translation Tools: Experience using tools like Trados Studio, Multiterm, or a Translation Management System (TMS).
American Translations Association (ATA) Certification: Demonstrating expertise in translation.
Passing a Language Assessment: Ensuring proficiency in Spanish.
Financial Institution Experience: Familiarity with financial jargon (unless you're a seasoned translator).
Flexibility: Ability to handle unexpected changes in workload and assist team members when needed.
