Our client is currently seeking a Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Dallas, Texas!
Job Title: Associate Patient Care Coordinator
Job Type: Contract
Location: Dallas, Texas
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday)
Rate: Competitive & Dependent on Experience
Job Responsibilities:
Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed.
Greet patients as they arrive and manage wait times.
Complete check-in and check-out tasks, including insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and/or precertification of procedures, and copying required documents.
Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, and issue receipts.
Process walk-in patients and visitors.
Manage medical records (maintain, file/scan, prepare for schedule).
Ensure all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, process requests for medical records release, and maintain appropriate logs.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient care coordination or administrative roles.
Competence in using healthcare software systems, such as eClinicalWorks (ECW). (Will train)
