The Data Analyst supports a wide range of civil engineering projects by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and project performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Collect, organize, and analyze large amount of information from various internal and external sources with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Perform data extraction, validation, and manipulation to ensure accurate study inputs

  • Assist engineers in conducting studies utilizing Excel, industry modeling software, and other tools

  • Work with large databases using tools such as Access and Excel

  • Support the preparation of presentations and technical documents for clients based on study findings

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis and recommend best practices for data-driven decision-making

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by conducting regular audits, validation checks, and troubleshooting data-related issues


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, is preferred but not required

  • Completion of college-level Calculus I & II is required

  • 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within an engineering, construction, or consulting environment, is preferred but not required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated and driven to complete work with minimal supervision

  • Initiative to look for new challenges and opportunities

  • Organized and detailed oriented

  • Ability to learn quickly from reading and oral instructions

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
