About the Role:

Your mission:

• Conduct systematic evaluations of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes, helping us improve and stay on track.


• Review and assess third-party agreements and business processes to ensure they align with our flight plan.


• Collaborate with senior staff to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring our operations soar without turbulence.

Compensation:

• Maximum – Based on experience


• Minimum - $58,026.92

What You’ll Do:

• Assists with evaluations of contract compliance in relation to third-party entities that have contractual obligations to the Authority.


• Assists with process, risk and control evaluations of various functionalities of the Authority.


• Prepares audit workpapers in accordance with audit standards and departmental procedures.


• Learns to analyze fiscal data and operating procedures of routine complexity.


• Evaluates established and proposed control systems to ensure compliance with best practices, management policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.


• Consults with senior staff on process improvements which add value to the organization.

What You Need:

Education:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field

Preferred:

• Master's degree in business, accounting, finance, or another related field

 Experience:

Required:

• 6 months or more of professional experience or completion of an audit internship experience

Preferred:

• 1 year of audit experience

 Licenses or Certifications:

Required:

• Valid driver's license

Preferred:

• Internal Audit Practitioner (IAP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or relevant equivalent certification

  • Some flexibility is available regarding the work schedule between the hours of 7am - 6pm, possible work-from-home Fridays. Work hours outside of traditional schedule may be required occasionally. Final schedule preference will be negotiated with manager during the hiring process.
