Your Team & Role
The Global Technology Chief Operating Office organization is seeking a Lead, Tech Risk Management, who will collaborate with Global Technology’s various functional areas, individual business units/corporate functions, and other control functions to identify, mitigate, and improve areas of risk that may impact our organization. Reporting to the Global Technology Privacy Officer in the IT Operational Risk (ITOR) first line of defense, this role will help maintain the Global Technology Privacy program in line with the Company standards. The primary goal of the Lead, Tech Risk Management role is to research, lead and guide innovative ways to embed privacy requirements into the design, development, implementation and ongoing Technology operations and services in a streamlined and efficient manner. In addition to deep expertise and experience, you will bring excellent leadership, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive attitude, and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.
Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
Facilitate Global Technology adherence to the company’s Privacy Program and related programs, as well as any local or business-specific privacy requirements.
Perform first line of defense privacy activities and promote Privacy by Design related to Global Technology implementations ensuring adherence to privacy policies, procedures, standards, and requirements using an automation first approach.
Embed privacy into our Agile methodology during the design and development of technology, data products and services. The goal is to shift privacy left. This includes ensuring privacy regulatory compliance is embedded from the outset, integrating privacy considerations at the beginning of the product/service development, advocating for data minimization, ensuring the protection of data is embedded using advanced technologies and strong Privacy by Design principles.
Strong collaboration and ability to understand and work with Enterprise Architecture, Security Advisors, Governance teams as well as Product Owners to advocate for Privacy Enhancing Technology and Privacy Engineering solutions.
Collaborate with Data Science teams to develop privacy preserving solutions using anonymization or deidentification techniques to optimize privacy.
Research and advocate for new methods of embedding privacy through self-service, empowerment, and automation to increase speed and scalability.
Become an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Privacy Expert with the ability to understand and drive AI privacy control discussions during assessments.
Serve as the conduit between Privacy, Legal, Security, Third-party risk management, Compliance, and various Technology Subject Matter Experts.
Embrace the implementation of Privacy non-functional requirements and related programs to look for efficient, self-service and automation-first opportunities.
Lead and conduct Privacy Impact Assessments with Technology, Data and Business stakeholders to assess Privacy risks for projects and processes pertaining to the collection, use, storage, and disposal of Personal Information.
Maintain the Privacy inventory and data mappings to identify all systems, business processes, repositories, and third parties, where personal information is used, stored, or accessed.
Enable the Global Technology teams to identify, investigate, and remediate privacy incidents (including privacy breaches) in a timely manner consistent with legal requirements, apply a lesson learned approach and ensure the Privacy incident platform is updated timely.
Report on privacy incidents, operational risk events relating to privacy and key risk indicators occurring within the organization, and identity and follow up on privacy issues and action plans with the ability to drive incidents and issues to closure in a timely manner. Ensure lessons are integrated into automation-first and Privacy by design program.
Utilize educational tools including training and awareness sessions to reinforce strong privacy protection practices within the Global Technology teams.
Help drive the evolving privacy program and overall protection of personal information by helping educate key stakeholders on privacy compliance risks and privacy risk management; deliver training, streamline advice, update knowledge repository.
Participate in continued privacy, AI, technology, and Information security education to build your knowledge and use to enhance the overall program.
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Security, Artificial Intelligence or related disciplines is required.
Proven experience of demonstrated success in leading, implementing, and executing Technology initiatives and challenges across an enterprise.
Ability to lead, research and apply visionary thinking to imagine, plan and execute automation first methods to streamline and embed Privacy within Technology products and services.
Should have technical expertise related to IT processes, practices, and capabilities with subject matter knowledge of components and risks within Cloud, Cyber Security, Agile methodology, Network Infrastructure and Privacy.
An understanding of privacy controls and industry standards and practices related to privacy and data protection.
Ability to rapidly find, assimilate and correlate information correctly.
Strong analytical, critical thinking skills, problem solving, and solution oriented with proven experience as a Business Analyst or related discipline.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with the ability to think outside the box.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to connect, build relationships and influence business leaders, across all levels to drive change.
Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organization.
Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes needed to make sound decisions in the context of the company's business.
Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis using self-initiative.
Excellent project management skills to help manage the program.
Preferred Skills:
Technology background with a proven ability to keep up to date with emerging technology.
The ability to lead, innovate and drive transformational change within an organization.
Proven expertise of IT Architecture and supporting Methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Six Sigma), frameworks (e.g., ITIL, SAFe) and practices (e.g., DevOps, CI/CD).

The salary range for this role is from $125,000.00 to $186,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
