Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Project Manager located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Quality Manager the Quality Project Manager role will be responsible for managing projects to meet the performance indicators (cost, delivery, quality, etc) of a specific organization. This person is result oriented and is capable of coordinating Flex resources and driving tasks to completion in a timely manner.
What a typical day looks like:
Responsible and point of contact with customer for quality and process related issues.
Quality liaison between all Flex sites that manufactures, tests, and repairs
Coordinates continuous quality and process related improvements between sites at AUR (NPI, Sustaining, and Service and Repair)
Drives consistent processes and procedures between all Flex sites
Always in copy of any production, manufacturing, and customer design issues. First level escalation on quality issues.
Bonepile and Rework Management
Manage the level of Bonepile in Flex. Drive to lower Bonepile level.
Responsible for data gathering and status reporting on Quality Alerts, CAPAs, Internal Flex CARs across all sites including
Driving effective and efficient closure on Quality Alerts, CAPA’s, and Internal CARs (8D’s)
First to be notified and review CAPA issued by PNW. Review CAPA validity and respond back to PNW within 24hrs. Assign CAPA owner.
Manage expectation w/ PANW team, ex. request extension or clarifications
Responsible to ensure CFT are utilizing K template for any CAPA issue
Ensure stating correct problem statement and the teams are using proper tools to get to root cause
Fishbone diagrams, Kepner Tregoe, 5 Why’s, A3 Problem Solving Techniques
Coordinate and proactively review and prepare the Flex and customer cross functional teams for weekly manufacturing data review meetings
Summarize top issues, assess risk, and plan next steps
Participates in all weekly Quality meetings (including Repair facility)
Follow up on the action items w/ the owers
Ensures quality data and report integrity- for example, the weekly yield report, QM data uploads, defect Pareto, component DPPM report, etc.
Drives the DRT action items with each Flex site and appropriate functional groups
Facilitates the quality data sharing between Flex sites i.e.
Data from different product lifecycle from NPI to Production to Repair
Support the QBR metrics and work with PAWN in reviewing the quarterly results
Review all metrics such as FPY goals, Bonepile, CAPA, etc..
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
6 years of experience (quality, process, manufacturing environment)
3 years of project management experience
Problem solving and decision making.
Hardware/ PCBA experience (2-3 years)
CAPAs, Root cost analysis, CARs experience
Data analysis, Process Performance, Yield (%)
Influence and negotiation skills.
Knowledge in ISO9000 or equivalent (prefer)
