Established organization is seeking a Loan Officer/Underwriter specifically with experience in the Construction industry. Pay range: $80-103k DOE
Responsibilities:
Underwrite new loan applications and establish relationships with new customers.
Address the credit needs of both existing and prospective clients.
Provide financial and credit analysis consultations, including verifying collateral valuations.
Collaborate with Loan Originators/Business Development Officers to prepare loan proposals for management and loan committee review.
Support the Business Development Officer/Branch Manager in executing business plans and marketing strategies to meet the Bank's financial and CRA objectives.
Manage ongoing client relationships and loan portfolios, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with annual renewals and loan/financial covenants.
Monitor existing accounts for potential issues or suspicious activity, applying problem account management practices in accordance with regulations and Bank policies.
Promote and cross-sell additional Bank products and services.
Offer leadership, training, and support to less experienced staff members within the branch's lending unit.
Adhere to the Bank's BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, credit administration, or executive management.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in originating and underwriting commercial loans, including term loans, lines of credit, and deposits, with a proven track record in business development.
In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, economic trends, and loan origination, along with strong business development capabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred.
