Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Field Service Engineer for our client in Milpitas. This role requires 75% travel domestically and internationally. Candidates must have valid passport with no travel restrictions. If you are not able to travel with short notice you will not be considered for this role.



This is a Direct Hire role with a starting salary range of $60K to $100K per year depending on years of experience working in a similar role. Candidates with under 2 years od experience will not be considered.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



? Travel to customer sites worldwide to:


o Install, bring up, and qualify abatement systems worldwide.


o Train end users to operate, maintain and repair products within the Encompass and Cyclone product lines as requested.


o Assist in the performance of field tests and data collection on new processes and design features.


o Support engineering team on product development and improvement builds and testing


o System level expert to assist on-site problem resolution of unique/difficult problems


o Domestic and worldwide travel up to 75%


? Work in house with other field engineers to:


o Develop & edit manuals, field notifications, troubleshooting guides o Perform/develop procedures for final test ensuring quality standards are met


o Assist operations personnel to improve quality through discussion, instruction and written communication


o Generate and drive ECNs to improve products and procedures o Interface with customers to remotely support field install base problems.


o Work with engineering to test new designs and concepts


o Review documentation release packages for manufacturing introduction


o Train manufacturing final test technicians and new field service engineers on new products and procedures



MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Requires 2 to 10+ years' experience in the role of a travelling field service engineer. Must have troubleshooting skills, ability to read schematics, and experience using hand tools and test meters.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


o 4-year engineering degree from a technical college or institute. Military training a plus


o System level thinker who understands, mechanics, power electronics, and control electronics. Understanding of Ethernet based communications and chemistry a plus


o Proven system level troubleshooting capability down to the component level.


o Proven ability to read instructions, set up and operate instrumentation.


o Strong ability to work independently while being part of a team. Works well with people at all levels within the organization both at location and the customer base.



CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:



o Possession of a valid California driver's license is a requirement for this job.


o Valid passport for international travel is a requirement for this job.



WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:



o Moderate physical activity. Requires some light physical work; must be able to lift, push, or pull objects up to and rarely over 50 pounds.


o Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with solvents and glues.
